புதிய பிரதமரைத் தெரிவு செய்வதற்கான தேர்தலில் மார்க் கார்னியின் லிபரல் கட்சி வெற்றி பெற்றுள்ளது.
லிபரல் கட்சி மொத்தமாக 144 இடங்களை வென்றுள்ளதுடன், 21 இடங்களில் முன்னிலையில் உள்ளதாக அந்த நாட்டு ஊடகங்கள் செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளன.
இதன் மூலம் தொடர்ந்து நான்காவது முறையாக லிபரல் கட்சி கனடாவில் ஆட்சியமைக்க உள்ளது.
எதிர்க்கட்சியான கன்சர்வேட்டிவ் கட்சி இதுவரை 121 இடங்களை வென்றுள்ளதுடன், 26 இடங்களில் முன்னிலையில் உள்ளதாக வெளிநாட்டு ஊடகங்கள் செய்தி வெளியிட்டுள்ளன.
